Silent Meditation Retreat

Mindfulness Practice

This Silent Retreat based on Buddhist Guidelines, offers an intensive experience of mindfulness practice, alternating sitting and walking meditations. A traditional approach to meditation is combined with opportunities to sit in meditation with a tree, the river, a flower…outdoors in nature.  Additionally, morning movement sessions, embodiment practices, and sound baths are offered to care for our bodies and deepen our mindfulness practice.

Holding Container

Each participant is held in a group container and in safety, while attending to their interior. The practice is contained by daily group dharma talks, personalized support for each participant, and the strength of a caring community. The groups are of a small manageable size.

Awareness

This deep immersion into the nature of Self through a process pointing towards awakening provides a whole new level of understanding of Self and the World, as it emerges from silence.

Silence & Intimacy

The whole retreat is conducted in silence. Living and being in silence together creates a deeply felt sense of intimacy with oneself, with others, and with nature itself, as the personas largely fall away without the talking.

Integration

Silence is broken on the morning of the last day before lunch. Participants then have the opportunity to share and integrate their experience in a conscious way, while they are still within the safe container of the group. The retreat is followed up with a doable guideline for a daily meditation practice to be integrated into the participants’ daily lives at home.

For who is this retreat?

The Silent Meditation Retreat is for anyone who desires to experience a deep and intensive mindfulness practice, enter a deeper relationship with Nature through their mindfulness practice, or find ways to establish a daily mindfulness practice in their lives. No previous meditation experience is required.

Inner Work

The intention of our work is to support an awakening to a deeper sense of interconnection and belonging, and be naturally moved towards taking action on behalf of Mother Earth.
